The redevelopment of the White Provision building at the corner of 14th and Howell Mill marked the beginning of what is now known as the Westside Provisions District. The former meat packing building was converted into office and retail space while a new construction condominium building was built on the southern edge of the property. 14th Street was extended onto the property to allow vehicular access while focusing primarily on the pedestrian experience though cutting through the building and connecting to the neighboring Westside Urban Market by way of a new pedestrian bridge. The bridge was installed in 2008 and created the Westside Provisions District which has become one of the South’s most recognized shopping districts.

Upon completing the project in 2010, Westbridge was formed to continue the focus on placemaking through design and the creative use of existing buildings.
